A WOMAN in her 70s has died in a 'serious collision' on the M3 near Basingstoke on Thursday morning (July 7), police have confirmed.
As previously reported, officers attended a single-vehicle collision just before 7am on the M3, with road and lane closures put in place between junctions six (Basingstoke) and five northbound throughout the morning.

Sadly, despite best efforts, a woman in her 70s was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
