ALL lanes were closed on the M3 southbound near Dummer due to a 'large wildfire'.
Three fire crews were called to the incident off Down Street, Dummer just after 3pm on July 18 when an "area of stubble and roadside undergrowth" had been "severely damaged by fire".
A spokesperson from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said: "A large area of stubble and roadside undergrowth have been severely damaged by fire.
"Three fire engines, a water carrier and a Land Rover were called to an area off Down Street, Dummer, at just after 3pm today. Our Control room took multiple calls to the incident.
"Firefighters used hose reels and beaters to stop the fire from spreading and put it out. They remain on scene to dampen down."
According to ROMANSE travel updates the lanes on the entry slip road were closed at J7/A30 in Dummer.

Meanwhile AA traffic news reported the ramp was closed due to a "wildfire".
They stated: "Entry ramp closed due to wildfire on M3 Southbound at J7 A30 Winchester Road (Basingstoke South/Dummer). Traffic is coping well."
A spokesperson from Hampshire Police, added: "We were called at 3.12pm to reports of a fire on the side of the M3 southbound at junction 7."
Since then ROMANSE traffic news have confirmed all lanes have now reopened.
