CRIMINAL damage to cars and anti-social behaviour have been causing problems for villagers in Overton.

Hampshire Constabulary officers met with residents in Overton on Monday, July 18 to hear about concerns regarding anti-social behaviour at the recreation ground and incidents of cars being damaged.

Police have vowed to tackle the issues by carrying out visible patrols in the area and encouraging residents to report all incidents.

A statement from Hampshire Constabulary said: “We have received a number of recent reports of anti-social behaviour in local parks in Overton.

“We appreciate that these incidents are concerning to residents in the local community.

“However, please be assured that we are working very closely with partners to address and resolve them.

“Officers have been conducting a wide-range of enquiries, including meeting with residents in Overton, which provided an opportunity to discuss their concerns.

“Our teams are committed to ensure that residents remain feeling safe in the community.

“We will continue to carry out visible patrols in the area and encourage residents to report any incidents via 101 or on our website.”
