THE MET Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms on Wednesday (July 20) following a period of extreme heat.
The warning, which much of central and south east England, including North Hampshire, comes into force at 1pm on Wednesday, and is due to last until 9pm the same day.
Heavy showers and thunderstorms may bring throughout disruption during Wednesday afternoon.

What to expect
- Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services
- Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
- There is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost
It comes following a three-day Amber warning for extreme heat, which is due to end at 11.59pm on Tuesday (July 19).
Ongoing hot weather has posed a risk of widespread impacts on people and infrastructure.
