BASINGSTOKE and North Hants now know they will face Andover in the final of the Guy Jewell Cup on Monday August 29 from 2.30pm at May’s Bounty.
Their north Hampshire rivals beat Odiham and Greywell by 40 runs in their semi-final clash.
Babu Veettil (66) and Charlie Ayers (56) helped Andover to 191 as Jack Malden (4-18) and Tom Wiltshire (3-44) were the pick of the bowlers.
Odiham were then bowled out for 151, as Adam Scher 47 and Malden 23 not out led the run chase. John Nyumbu 2-15 and Angus Mahon 2-18 did the damage with the ball for Andover.
In the latest Cyril Thompson Trophy game, Aldermaston Rugby cruised into the last eight, as they beat Rotherwick ITW by 102 runs.
Aldermaston batted first and racked up 232-3 thanks to Harith Jackady 57, Mandeep Sharma 57 not out and Callum Coombs 47 not out.
In reply, Rotherwick made 71-8 as Paul Buckingham top scored with 40, well supported by Kyle Frost 25, Yam Thapa was the top bowler taking 2-9.
The next Trophy game is on Monday July 25, when Chawton take on East Woodhay.
