A FASHION company based in Hampshire has been shortlisted for a prestigious business award.
Hey Lola, run by sisters Anna Bennett and Rebecca Condie, has been nominated for the Women Led Business Award at the British Business Awards.
The company has doubled in size every year since its inception, despite both the Covid-19 pandemic and an arduous and harrowing cancer journey for Rebecca, who was diagnosed with Stage 3 Bowel Cancer in the middle of the pandemic.
The BBA has recognised the sisters’ incredible achievements in the face of adversity, and after receiving more than 450 nationwide nominations, has shortlisted Hey Lola amongst nine peers for the Women Led Business Award.

Speaking about their nomination, Anna, who acts as the company’s director and co-founder, said: “We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built in Hey Lola.
“We wanted to bring colourful, bold fashion to all UK women, regardless of size and that is exactly what we have done and continue to do.
“It’s that carefree, fun and colourful outlook that has got us through the toughest of times and we’ve come out not only fighting but winning.
“Just being nominated was fantastic and being shortlisted to 10 from 450 other worthy businesses is wonderful.”
Hey Lola has even managed to attract some celebrity fans, with the company’s designs having been worn by the likes of Lorraine Kelly, Kate Garraway, Josie Gibson and many more.
Several of Hey Lola’s ranges also raise money for charity, with the “Chin Up” range raising thousands of pounds for Cancer Research, inspired by Rebecca’s fight.
The British Business Awards celebrates the innovative and outstanding achievements of small and medium size British businesses across all industries.
