A LARGE fire broke out in a woodland in Basingstoke on Friday morning (July 29).
Two crews of firefighters from Basingstoke arrived at the scene on Priestley Road and tacked the fire in around an hour.
The firefighters were called at 11.37am.
*11:37* H01P8 mobilised alongside H01P7 also from @Basingstoke_01 to a Fire in the Open in #Basingstoke. Fire in wooded area, small tools and CAFS line used to extinguish fire.

A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said a 20m-by-20m area of woodland was alight.
The fire was extinguished using compressed air foam.
The firefighters returned to station at 12.54pm.
