A HOSPITAL radio station has raised more than £1,500 by holding a family fun day.
Hospital Radio Basingstoke held the event on Saturday, July 16.
Hosted at The Fox Pub, the fun day acted as a fundraising event, raising £1,588 in total, with all of the money raised at the event going towards funding the station.
The event featured a variety of activities for all age groups, including a bouncy castle, lucky dip, silent disco and barbeque.
The event was then followed by a ticketed dance with the music provided by DJ Scott Rawlings, which lasted late into the night.

Radio host Scott, who also organised the event, said: “Thank you to everyone who came along and bought raffle tickets and bought a burger and generally donated.
“Everyone was very generous, and it is such a great cause.
“It definitely helps people during their stays in the hospital.”
The event also acted as a way to raise awareness of the station’s existence, as it is currently looking for more presenters.
Volunteer positions are open to all, with both presenting and non-presenting roles available.
The radio station will provide full equipment training to anyone who signs up, with new presenters being given their own show.
Scott was very excited to say that the radio station will so be transitioning to using digital audio broadcasting.
He said: “We’re going onto DAB at some point, probably this year, so we’ll be able to reach a wider audience in the Basingstoke area.
“We’re not looking for anything in particular, just some one who is interested in giving back a bit.”
