A WOMAN from Sherborne St John has been ordered to pay more than £1,000 in total after admitting to drink driving in Bramley.
On July 1, Sharon Holden, of Sireburne Close, was driving a Land Rover along Sherfield Road with 60 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35.
At Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on July 19, the 41-year-old pleaded guilty and was handed a £663 fine.
She must also pay costs of £85 and a £265 surcharge, and was disqualified from driving for 16 months.
A BASINGSTOKE man has been ordered to complete unpaid work after admitting to driving in the town while more than three times the drink drive limit.
Andrew James, of Cambrian Way, was driving along Worting Road on July 4, with 123 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35.
The 61-year-old pleaded guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on July 19.
He was handed a community order comprising 150 hours unpaid work, five rehabilitation activity days and a 60-day monitored alcohol abstinence programme.
He was also disqualified from driving for three years and must pay costs of £85 and a £114 surcharge.
A BASINGSTOKE woman has admitted to stealing two bottles of wine from a shop in the town.
Tracey Donnelly, of May Place, stole the alcohol from Co-op on July 18 and 19.
She was additionally charged with attempted theft of a bottle of wine, also on July 18 from the same store.
On July 22 at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court, the 47-year-old pleaded guilty to all three counts, and was ordered to pay two lots of £10 in compensation.
A BASINGSTOKE man has been fined hundreds of pounds for driving on the motorway without licence or insurance.
On April 4, Roger Bethray, of Alexandra Road, was driving on the M3 at Fleet, when he did not hold the relevant insurance and was disqualified from holding a driving licence.
The 74-year-old initially denied the charges, but changed his pleas to guilty at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on July 22.
He was fined a total of £600 and disqualified for 12 months.
He must also pay a £60 surcharge.
A BASINGSTOKE man has been found guilty of assaulting a woman in the town last year.
On Jun 6 2021, Ricardo Saunders, of Paddock Road, assaulted the woman, causing her actual bodily harm.
The 38-year-old pleaded not guilty on May 5, 2022, but was found guilty in a trial at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on July 22.
A warrant was issued for his arrest.
A BASINGSTOKE man has been fined after driving without due care or attention in Alton.
On June 6, Aaron Lincoln, of Sibelius Close, was driving a Vauxhall Astra on Basingstoke Road without due care or attention.
The 25-year-old pleaded guilty at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on July 25, and was fined £240, plus costs of £90 and a £34 surcharge.
His driving record was also endorsed with six penalty points.
