THOUSANDS of pounds have been raised for the owner of a Basingstoke business after she was diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer.

Sue Foley, owner of The Little Barn Health and Gift Shop, at Scrapps Hill Farm, in Worting Road, was diagnosed at the beginning of the year. She later found out she has two tumours in her brain which affect her hearing and balance.

Now, a JustGiving page has been set up by close friend, Ricky Davis, to help fund Sue's cancer treatment. At the time of writing more than £5,000 has been raised.

Ricky, who has known Sue for four years, said: "Sue is one of these people that even through her shop, she has always given back and looked after people, she is never too busy to answer questions.

"I have seen people go into her shop and thank Sue for them no longer being in pain anymore with Sue's help, so it was just right for someone to do something for her!"

Basingstoke Gazette:

"The medicines and supplements Sue is currently taking costs roughly £500 a month, alongside her ozone treatments and there is also immune genetic therapy that has got amazing results with this paticular illness that cost thousands of pounds!

"It does feel great to give back to Sue, however it also feels extremely sad that she is having to fight this disease, I would much rather she was just healthy."
