POLICE have confirmed that a 'vulnerable' man reported missing from Basingstoke on Tuesday evening (August 16) has now been located.
Hampshire Constabulary previously issued a plea as officers became "increasingly concerned" for the welfare of a "vulnerable" Basingstoke man who had gone missing.
Richard Morgans, 51, was last seen around 7pm on Tuesday evening, (August 16) after he left home for a walk. He suffers from dementia and also has Down's syndrome, does not speak and usually walks very slowly.
Posting a plea to the public for help to Facebook, Basingstoke Cops added: "If you have seen him or know where he is please call 999 as soon as possible."
However, on Wednesday morning (August 17), an update stated: "We can confirm Richard Morgans has now been found safe and well. Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal."
