HUNDREDS of children and young adults with disabilities had a joyful day at the Chute Recreation Ground in Sherborne St John as a Basingstoke charity organised a special event.
The fundraising charity named Daniel Rolfe - Forever Smiling organised the event to put smiles on the faces of 300 children and young adults with disabilities and allowing them to be themselves in a safe environment.
The event named ‘Forever Smiling Hawaiian Picnic Daniel Style’ turned out to be a great success.

It was free for those who attended through an application process.
Charlene Duplock, who founded Forever Smiling, thanked all the people who helped in organising the event.
She said: “Terri at the Chute was amazing by supporting us with the parking and the grounds.
“Forever Smiling wants to say a massive thank you to Bounce 4 Fun and JV bounce for all the inflatables and working together to provide an amazing experience.
“Massive thank you to Gemini Faces - Face and Body Painting by Hayley, your work and designs were incredible and you didn’t even stop for a break the line was endless. Routine Riots for entertaining the children and young adults with the balloons created by the mermaid and the pirate with the giant bubbles.

“Thank you to the Basingstoke police for attending with a police van, the children loved this. Also, a massive thank you to Paul’s Ices for the much needed ice creams.”
