The Inspire Awards, which celebrate companies of all shapes and sizes, are inviting entries for Business and Community Award category.
The category is all about celebrating the many ways in which businesses make a positive contribution to the wider community of north Hampshire where their motivation is not commercial, but about the importance they attach to making a difference to others around them.
Over the years there have been many examples of fundraising, skills sharing and giving of time and getting staff involved with good causes and individuals.

It always proves a very interesting category showing the many different ways that businesses play an important role in giving back to the community in which they operate, and where their staff come from.
The award is sponsored by Face TV based in Basingstoke which has filmed the awards evening many times and been long time supporters of both the Inspire Awards and Destination Basingstoke, a business that itself puts the community at its heart.
Genevieve Touzin, managing director of Face TV, said: “Business and the Community attracts some very inspirational nominations for those organisations making a tangible positive impact on our community, and we look forward to the many success stories of the past year demonstrating community activity over and above, and into the future.”
The Following are the criteria to apply for the Business and Community category:
- Evidence of a contribution to the community beyond any statutory duty
- Staff engagement and awareness of community issues
- Ability to demonstrate evidence of measurable impact on local community
- Commitment to ongoing community or charitable activities for non commercial gain.
The Designlab was the winner of this category in 2021.
