A PAIR of Basingstoke businesses have been left devastated after vandals caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage to their storefronts.
Willows Coffee House, in Church Street, and Bombshell Hair and Beauty, in Greenlands Road, are counting the costs of repairing smashed windows caused during incidents over the weekend.
Police have said that the two incidents are not linked and are now appealing for information
Owner of Bombshell Hair and Beauty, Marie Harrington, discovered the damage to her business on Saturday, August 20. All 12 windows on the front of the shop had been smashed.
Marie told the Gazette: “It was a bit of a shock and has made me feel quite anxious because I just can’t understand why someone would want to do that.”
