STUDENTS at an independent school in Hook have produced exceptional results once again, well ahead of 2019 marks.
Lord Wandsworth College (LWC) has celebrated the success of its Class of 2022, as students across the country collected their GCSE results on Thursday, August 25.
The school said that 17 per cent of students received grade nines, 55 per cent nine-sevens, 88 per cent grades nine to five – and a 98 per cent pass rate.

Particular congratulations go to Ned B and Amelia R for achieving straight grade 9s in all 10 subjects and to Anya Burrows (nine grade 9s), Flo Coughlin, George Morris (eight grade 9s) and Sam Fussey (6 grade 9s).
At the top of the tables this year were computer science, English and the creative subjects, along with art, drama and music which also had a fantastic.
Headmaster Adam Williams said: “We love what we do here at LWC. As we celebrate 100 years of pupils at the school this October, our big skies, 1200 acres of green spaces, exceptional staff and courage to think beyond the norm, means education is being reimagined in this part of North Hampshire. Our pupils are thriving."

The school has also been shortlisted for two more national educational awards this summer, on top of being voted Independent School of the Year for Wellbeing during the lockdown years and in the top 100 Cricket Schools in the UK for the eighth year running.
This GCSE year group are currently Under 16 national girls’ hockey champions, county rugby champions (15s and 7s), and reached the last 16 of the girls’ Under 18 national cricket Hundred competition.
