BRIGHTON Hill Community School students have scored excellent grades in their GCSE exams, recording the best results in its recent history.
The school improved its results in 2019, the last time exams were held.
The students also topped the Centre Assessed Grades which were issued in 2020 and 2021.
The number of students achieving five standard passes (level 4+) including English and maths has gone from 51 per cent in 2019 to 68 per cent this year.
In the same measurement, but with five strong passes (level 5+), the results have gone from 25.9 per cent in 2019 to 49.3 per cent in 2022.
Furthermore, 59 per cent of all GCSE grades achieved at the school were level 5+.

Chris Edwards, the headteacher of Brighton Hill Community School, said: “We are incredibly proud of our Class of 2022, who have been through so much turbulence.
“To have doubled some of the headline figures from the last set of exams is unheard of and we could not be any more delighted as a school community.”
