Sherfield School has registered ‘exceptional’ results in GCSE with five students scoring 32 grade 9s between them.
The school said 45 per cent of grades achieved by its students are in the 9-7 range (A/A*) and over 95 per cent are in 9-4 (A*-C) range.
Top performers include Ella, Jack, Nikita, Daniel and Stella who secured an amazing 32 grade 9s between them.
In particular, Nikita Graille achieved eight grade 9s, two grade 8s and one grade 7, whilst Jack celebrated seven grade 9s, two grade 8s and one grade 7.

Nikita said: “I thought I was going to do a lot worse in some of the subjects. But the results came really good. I’m staying at Sherfield for my A-levels. I’m going maths, economics and computer science.”

Ella Bartlett achieved six grade 9s, four grade 8s and one grade 7.
She said: “I’m very very happy, I did really well. I’m planning to stay on at Sherfield School to do biology, chemistry, French and maths. I got 9s in all of them.”

Duncan Page, head of seniors, said: “This has been a tough two years for this cohort but the stoicism and determination they have shown is remarkable and certainly proves the grit and resilience present in this generation of Sherfield pupils. Their excellent results are well-deserved.
“They have also been incredibly supportive of each other throughout which bodes very well for a cohesive and positive Year 12 group going forward. I know how excited they are to move into the next phase of their education and I wish them all the best for the future.”
