A 'trespass incident' on the railway near Reading Station is causing major delays to journeys in and out of the town this morning (Wednesday).
According to National Rail, services going to and from Basingstoke and Newbury have been badly affected.
The rail operator confirmed that a trespass incident has taken place at Reading West Station.
Cross Country and Great Western Railway services are affected. National Rail has advised that trains in and out of Reading could be delayed by up to 30 minutes.
The trespass was first reported at around 11am.
Passengers who are affected by the delays have been advised that they could be entitled to compensation. Click here for more information.
