A 41-YEAR-OLD man who was caught having sex in a public place has been jailed for 28 weeks.
Kristoffer Mallion was caught engaging in sexual acts and intercourse with Suzanne Byrne in St Michael’s Road on June 13.
He pleaded guilty to the offence of committing an act of outraging public decency during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
Magistrates jailed Mallion, of Hook, due to his flagrant disregard for court orders and the fact the offence was witnessed by multiple people.
He also admitted to threatening a witness on June 30. Court documents said he made repeated threats and prevented the victim from leaving.
Mallion must also pay a £156 victim surcharge and £40 court costs.
Two charges of failing to answer to court/police bail as soon as practicable were withdrawn.
Byrne, 37, of Aylings Close, previously pleaded guilty to committing an act of outraging public decency and will be sentenced on September 23.
A BASINGSTOKE man who attacked two people has been ordered to pay compensation.
Luke Richardson, of Sandys Road, assaulted the two men in Basingstoke on February 19.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
The 22-year-old was ordered to pay £75 compensation to each victim.
MAGISTRATES have ordered a Basingstoke man to pay compensation after he damaged a charity shop window.
On March 29, Tyler Franzmann, of Warwick Road, damaged the window of The British Heart Foundation shop.
He pleaded guilty to criminal damage during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
The 18-year-old was ordered to pay £100 compensation and was given a conditional discharge for 12 months.
A DRIVER has been banned from getting behind the wheel after he failed to provide a specimen.
Aaron Gibson was asked to provide a specimen when he was stopped in Basingstoke on August 6 as part of an investigation into whether he had committed another offence. He was asked to provide a specimen of breath for analysis.
Gibson, of Scholars Close, Ludgershall, admitted to the offence at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
The 22-year-old was banned from driving for 29 months and must complete 150 hours of unpaid work.
He must also complete up to five rehabilitation days and pay £85 court costs, along with a £144 victim surcharge.
A HOOK man who was caught drink driving has been disqualified by magistrates.
Gareth Lewis, of Beauclerk Green, Winchfield, was caught while driving a Volkswagen Transporter on August 8. Court records say the offence took place at the Northern Police Investigation Centre, Basingstoke.
He pleaded guilty to the offence during a magistrates’ court hearing.
The 60-year-old has been banned from driving for 24 months and was fined £576.
He must also pay £85 court costs.
A further charge of failing to provide a specimen was withdrawn.
A BASINGSTOKE man has been disqualified from driving after he was caught over the drink drive limit.
Rajesh Palamattathil Raveendran was stopped near his home in Wateridge Road on December 31, last year, whilst behind the wheel of a Skoda. He had 51 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35.
His case was listed for a trial at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court, but he pleaded guilty and was banned for 12 months.
The 42-year-old was also fined £540, along with being told to pay £200 court costs and a £54 victim surcharge.

Darren Leer was asked to provide a specimen when he was stopped on April 6 as part of an investigation into whether he had committed another offence.
He was asked to provide a specimen of breath for analysis.
Leer, of Blackmoor Drive, admitted to the offence at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
The 39-year-old was fined £80, banned from driving for 42 months and made the subject of an alcohol treatment programme for six months.
He must also complete up to 15 rehabilitation days and pay £40 court costs, along with a £95 victim surcharge.
