A MOTOR group is celebrating raising thousands of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support and is encouraing people to get involved.
Eden Motor Group has raised £81,000 since 2014 and £18,000 alone at last year’s Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning and now want people to get involved at this year's event being held at all of their showrooms on September 23.
Eden Motor Group owner Graeme Potts said: “Supporting local groups, causes, and charities is core to our values as a member of the community where our dealerships are based. We’re very proud of our colleagues and customers who go the extra mile to support this.”
As well as baking cakes, during previous coffee morning events Eden colleagues have taken part in a variety of different challenges to help fundraise, such as leg waxing, hair shaving, 100-mile cycle rides, and press-up contests.
The business also hosts competitions for customers, with one customer last year winning a diamond bracelet worth £4,000.
Eden Motor Group aims to reach £100,000 raised for Macmillan Cancer Support which is one the largest British charities that provide support to cancer sufferers.
Its showrooms are all across the south of England and its coffee morning will be hosted at its dealerships in Banbury, Basingstoke, Bicester, Bracknell, Branksome, Camberley, Christchurch, Exeter, Fareham, Fleet, High Wycombe, Honiton, Newton Abbot, Newbury, Oxford, Reading Vauxhall, Reading Hyundai, Stratford, Swindon, Taunton, Torbay Vauxhall, Torbay Hyundai, and Wokingham.
