A MAN who used threatening/abusive words/behaviour which was likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress has been fined.
Lee Courtney, 33 and of Johnson Road, Hounslow, pleaded guilty to the incident on March 22 in Basingstoke.
He was fined £76 and must pay £45 court costs, along with a £34 victim surcharge.
Two charges of common assault of an emergency worker and assault by beating of an emergency worker were withdrawn.
A THIEF who stole a Batman Lego set from a store in Basingstoke has been fined.
Charlie Downham, of Bourdillon Gardens, Basingstoke, took the toy from The Entertainer at Festival Place on May 23.
The 32-year-old pleaded guilty to theft from a shop during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.

A TADLEY man was caught with drugs in his system while behind the wheel of a car.
Daniel Banks, of Silchester Road, Pamber Heath, was stopped on Old Winton Road, Andover, driving a Volkswagen Polo on May 30.
It was found that he had no less than 4.0 micrograms of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) per litre of blood. The legal limit is two.
The 33-year-old admitted to the offence during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
Banks was banned from driving for three years and fined £300. He must also pay £85 court costs and £34 victim surcharge.
MAGISTRATES have disqualified a Basingstoke driver from getting behind the wheel.
KC Cenci, of Runcie Crescent, was stopped on Mallory Road, Basingstoke, wheel driving a Volvo S60 on June 24.
It was found that the 31-year-old had no less than 151ug/l of Benzoylecgonine (BZE) in her blood. The legal limit is 50.
Cenci was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £120, along with £45 court costs and a £48 victim surcharge.

Daniel Carpenter, 66 and of Lindisfarne Close, pleaded guilty to assault by beating on August 1.
Magistrates was jailed for five weeks and was told to pay £150 court costs.
A BASINGSTOKE man has been found guilty of assaulting an emergency worker.
Travine Farrell, of Campsie Close, previously denied assaulting PCSO Thomas in Basingstoke on February 7.
The 19-year-old was found guilty of common assault of an emergency worker following a trial at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court.
He was fined £300 and must pay court costs of £300. He was also told to pay a £34 victim surcharge.
A BASINGSTOKE man who damaged a television has been ordered to pay compensation.
Albertas Seskevicius, of Freemantle Close, damaged the LG TV to the value of £700 on January 30.
The 26-year-old admitted the offence at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court, and he was ordered to pay £700 compensation.
He must also pay £85 court costs.
MAGISTRATES have ordered a Kingsclere man to complete rehabilitation days after he admitted to a raft of offences.
Luke Clinch, of Fawconer Road, admitted to possessing cocaine and assaulting a police officer.
He also pleaded guilty to damaging an Apple Mac and assault by beating. The offences took place in Kingsclere on May 7.
Magistrates at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court ordered the 35-year-old to complete up to 24 rehabilitation days and pay an £815 fine.
He must also pay £85 court costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
MAGISTRATES have ordered a Tadley man to complete 80 hours of unpaid work.
James Smith, of Barlows Road, pleaded guilty to damaging a mobile phone belonging to a woman in Tadley on June 5.
The 41-year-old also admitted to assaulting the same woman on the same day.
Smith was also told to complete up to 10 rehabilitation days and must pay £85 court costs, along with a £95 victim surcharge.
