A FILM festival in Basingstoke is returning for its seventh edition with a programme of 45 short films.
The annual Exit 6 Film Festival returns on Saturday, September 24, when two two screens in Vue Festival Place will play the selection of films throughout the day, with many of the filmmakers in attendance to take part in audience Q&A’s and share in the celebration of their work.
There will also be a series of guest talks from industry speakers with valuable insights for budding filmmakers in how to launch their own careers.
Other local venues supporting the event are Tapas Revolution in Festival Place, and Dice Tower and the top of town, which will host the Awards Party in the evening, where winners will be presented with gongs for Editing, Cinematography, Screenplay, Performance, Best Film, and the Audience Choice.
Industry judges selecting the winners include Emmy-nominated cinematographer Benedict Spence (End of the F***ing World, This Is Going to Hurt) and Bridgerton star Shelley Conn.
In his first edition as festival director, Paul Anderson said: “We are very excited to welcome everyone to this year's Exit 6 which promises to be another great day of short films on the big screen. The efforts of our volunteer team have been fantastic once again, and with the support of the Basingstoke Council and Face TV, Exit 6 Film Festival 2022 should go off with bang!”
Tickets to attend the festival virtually or in person are available now at exit6filmfestival.com.
