A VINTAGE funfair made its final visit to Basingstoke last weekend before it ceases touring.
Carters Steam Fair came to War Memorial Park in Basingstoke on September 24 and 25 for one final funfair for people to enjoy.
Originally planned as a two week stay, the fair was reverted to just one weekend as the park was used for memorial flowers and tributes to Queen Elizabeth II in the previous weekend.
Check out the gallery above that features photos shared by Basingstoke Gazette Camera Club member Alan Trott of the last visit by Carters Steam Fair.
The Carter family is trying to find a permanent site for the fair, and a new buyer to take it over.
Dating from the 1890s to the 1960s, the vintage fairground rides have featured in films such as Paddington 2 and Rocketman and TV shows such as Call the Midwife.
Originating in 1977, the steam fair has been a staple of life in Basingstoke for over 30 years.
Run by Joby Carter, the son of founders John and Anna, the collection of rides and side stalls makes Carters the largest travelling vintage funfair in the world.
