AROUND 50 firefighters tackled a house fire in the village of Dummer on Thursday, September 29.
Crews from Basingstoke, Odiham, Winchester, Whitchurch, Andover and Eastleigh were called at 3.38pm where a fire on the second-floor of the property had spread into the roof.
A smoke alarm alerted neighbours who were able to dial 999 and release the dogs from inside.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus used hose reels and jets to stop the blaze.
After conducting a salvage operation and damping down remaining hotspots, Hampshire fire service completed safe and well visits at neighbouring properties.
The incident was scaled down before the stop message came in at 8.48pm, with one crew returning later in the evening to reinspect the scene.
