A PAIR of Basingstoke hockey players are completing a spin-a-thon to raise money for charity.
Taking place on Monday, October 3, the spin-a-thon is seeing Basingstoke Hockey Club members Jess Pritchard and Michelle Rounding cycle on spin bikes for 12 hours to raise money.
The money they raise will be split between the Basingstoke Hockey Club and Cancer Research UK.
Jess explained that the girls had a personal reason to raise money for the charity.

She said: “We’re raising money for Cancer Research UK as one of the ladies in our club has cancer.
“We have a goal of travelling over 200km between us.”
At time of writing Jess and Michelle have travelled 67.6km and 56.5km respectively, for a combined distance of 124.1km, and have raised more than £200 in total.
