A DRIVER crashed and flipped his car on the M3 in the early hours and has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
The incident saw the M3 near Fleet Services closed while emergency services attended.
A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: "We were called at 1.08am this morning (9 October) with reports of a collision involving a Ford Fiesta and Volkswagen Crafter Flatbed on the M3 southbound, just prior to Fleet services.
"The Ford Fiesta subsequently overturned. No serious injuries were reported.
"The driver of the Fiesta, a 20-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and remains in custody at this time."
Ambulance and fire services were also in attendance.
A spokesman for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to the M3 southbound, near to Fleet services, at just after 1am.
"A single vehicle was on its roof and firefighters assisted with making the scene safe. No one was trapped.
"SCAS and police were also in attendance."
