A CAMPAIGN has launched in Odiham and North Warnborough to help residents reduce their carbon footprint, save money and combat climate change.
The Greening Campaign launched on Saturday, October 8 as part of a Hampshire-wide initiative at Mayhill Junior School from 11am to 2pm where lots of people stopped by to get involved and find out more information.
Cllr Angela Mcfarlane said: "The launch created a real buzz. From the Beavers (under 8s) insistence we go meat-free for a day, bribing us with their yummy cakes and recipes, to the U3A Climate Change Group"s Greenilocks and the three barely-managings skit, urging us to turn the thermostat down just enough, there was much fun to be had as well as a really important message. These are just two of the 8 actions our community has chosen for our campaign. If you did them all a household could save as much as £500 a year."

The Greening Campaign cards will be arriving shortly at every household in the parish, to help create actions that can start saving energy.
People can either display their card to show the community they are involved in or if residents' house is not easy to see from the street, they can display something green at their entrance to show they are a part of the campaign.

These cards will then be counted during the week beginning October 31, to be able to estimate how much the parish has reduced its carbon footprint.
