A PROUD dad said the cast and crew of an exciting new show have been working "tirelessly for months".
Basingstoke Amateur Operatic Society will be performing an exciting new show called BAOS Limelight: Seussical at Basingstoke's The Haymarket. The show will be on stage between Thursday, October 20 and Saturday, October 22.
David Wood is the proud father of one cast members, 12-year-old Maisie.
He said: "All the cast and crew have been working tirelessly for months to be ready for the four shows this week. I have seen Maisie (my daughter and JoJo) put her heart and soul into this.

"They have rehearsed for three hours every Wednesday since before the summer and add to this weekend's rehearsals and this week some 14-hour days in The Haymarket to be ready. They will be ready and they will put on a great show. However, they deserve to be playing to packed audiences and the audiences will not leave disappointed.
"If you are a fan of Cat in the Hat, a fan of musicals or just want to enjoy the buzz of live entertainment this has an amazing score and it will be fun for all ages."
He told the Gazette that being part of the show has been hugely beneficial for his daughter.

He added: "As a dad here I have loved every moment of seeing Maisie grow in confidence, and make new friends and love the experience. I would do all the lifts and running around 100 times over – however, the story of this production deserves an ending in front of a packed Haymarket for each show.
"Coming out of lockdown where this generation missed out on a key part of their lives it’s fantastic to be able to see them back up on stage doing what they love – and what they were born to do. The audiences deserve a bit of fun and the chance to experience live shows again. This will be the perfect entertainment for all ages."
