TWO villages near Basingstoke have this year topped the list of best places to live in Hampshire.
Muddy Stilettos, in association with Strutt & Parker, launched its top 250 best places to live, an insider guide with advice on where to buy that features 10 locations in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Odiham and Hartley Wintney made it onto the list, to the delight of residents.

With recent changes in the mortgage and property markets, homeowners are faced with difficult decisions to make on their future job and lifestyle opportunities. Therefore, this list aims to guide potential buyers to the hot spots and up-and-coming areas to live next year.
Angela McFarlane, chair of Odiham Parish Council, said: "Odiham is a beautiful village, but it's the community here which makes it a truly wonderful place to live.
"We are delighted to be recognised by Muddy Stilettos. This comes close on the heels to the Hampshire Association of local councils village of the year award."
The Muddy Stilettos guide this year featured an additional 50 recommendations in comparison to their 2022 annual list and included areas from 28 counties across the UK.
Hartley Wintney Parish Council were contacted for comment.
