BASINGSTOKE and Deane's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A303, from 8pm September 23 to 6am October 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 and M3 both directions, junction 8, link road and lane closures for structures work, diversion via National Highways network and local authority.
• M3, from 8pm October 21 to 6am October 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound and southbound, junction 6, Link, slip and lane closures for resurfacing work, diversion via National Highways network.
• M3, from 8pm October 3 to 6am November 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 6 to 5, Lane closures for grounds surveys.
And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A303, from 8pm November 1 to 6am November 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Bullington, slip road and lane closures for electrical work, diversion via National Highways network.
• A34, from 8pm November 7 to 6am November 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Whitchurch, Lane closures for barrier upgrades.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
