A SPECTACULAR Festival of Light parade has been rescheduled to take place in Basingstoke this Friday.
Organised by local dance company Kala the Arts, the event will see a river of light run through the town on November 4 with a parade bringing together young people, community groups and amazing puppets and musicians to celebrate Diwali.

The event has been rescheduled from October 21 when the parade was called-off because of bad weather.
Participants can join the parade from 5.30pm before it will leave Willows Coffee House in Church Street at 6pm followed by a performance at the amphitheatre at 7pm with more than 100 performers taking part.

Members of the public can expect to be wowed by dancing, drumming, lanterns, illuminated installations, animated animal and theatre costumes and music from Niraj Chag.
