A DIWALI celebration was held in an Indian restaurant in Basingstoke last weekend.
Spices and Spirits, in Kings Furlong Drive, celebrated the popular Hindu festival by hosting a party for around 70 guests.
It was a mix of cultures with people from India and the UK getting together to celebrate the festival of lights.
The evening started with welcome drinks and hors d'oeuvers and a warm vegan soup.

Just after a range of eight varieties of starters, Diwali Quiz with 25 questions was conducted with great enthusiasm.
Gifts were given to two people who became champions with 24 points each, while three came in second place with 23 points.
DJ Sailesh was present to entertain the crowd with Bollywood numbers
The dinner included a variety of vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes with two types of desserts.
There was also a fireworks display before DJ Jarek took over the dance floor with on-demand songs.
