AN 11-YEAR-OLD Basingstoke girl is teeing it up in the best way possible in her golf career with some tremendous achievements in Hampshire and beyond.
Lilly-Belle Austen, who plays golf at North Hants GC, has been selected to be an ambassador for Golf England and Girls Golf Rocks programme where she is assisting professional golfers at Weybrook Park Golf club.
The girl from Popley has also won the North Hants Hopper Hale Junior trophy with her playing partner Alfie Hill, and the Junior sponsor day team event with her dad and brothers.
She has just been awarded the Dorcas Jewell Memorial trophy for a second consecutive year for the best-improved lady at North Hants GC.
A Year 7 student at the Vyne School, Lilly-Belle is on course for finishing in the top four order of merit for 2022 where she will play in a four-ball in 2023 at the Belfry.
She has also achieved her handicap target of 18 for this year and is currently playing off 17.1.
With her coaches Kevin Flynn at Tournerbury GC and George Porter at North Hants and Hampshire academy, Lilly-Belle said she is working very hard this year and is continuing to improve.
