THREE Hampshire pubs have been named among the UK's best for a Sunday roast by a popular travel blog.
According to Muddy Stilettos, roasts at The Hanger Freehouse in Oakhanger, The Watership Down Inn in Freefolk and Monkey Brewhouse in Lymington are all notably good for various reasons.
The Hanger Freehouse stood out for their smart new look, seasonal menus and local ales and produce available since new owners Francis and Clare Joyce took over the pub this year.
Muddy Stilettos also said that the location of the East Hampshire pub is perfect for a pre or post lunch stroll with it being situated on the East Worldham to Selborne stretch of The Hangers Way.
The Watership Down Inn was described as a cosy spot for lunch thanks to its "country interiors, warming wood burner and gastro menu", which similar to The Hanger Freehouse, also offers a good route for a midday stroll.
Finally, The Monkey Brewhouse was described as perfect for those who like a pint with their roast because of their onsite microbrewery, as well as those who have a sweet tooth.
The Muddy Stilletos review read: "Special mention of the puds too, which include a chocolate peanut butter brownie and spiced pear and ginger cobbler. Oh my."
