BASINGSTOKE District Tennis league has entered a winter break with Goodworth Clatford lead the pack in ladies division 1.
But with only one more match for them to play in the New Year, their position is far from certain.
Riseley B and Beechdown B are both sitting pretty at the top of division 2, each with two wins from two. There are 6 teams in touching distance of the top of division 3.
In the Men’s division 1, Old Basing and Kintbury are the only teams with a 100 per cent record, but they have only played two and one matches respectively.
Division 2 is shaping up to be a tight competition, with three teams level at the top in the early going. Beechdown B seem to be in a strong position in division 3, but they have played one more match than their nearest competitor.
In the mixed divisions, a strong start to the season for Riseley A has seen them leap to the top of the table with three wins from three.
Hampshire Court A and Stratton Park B both have 100 per cent records in division 2.
Andover will look to consolidate their position atop division 3, and will hope to extend their lead when the league resumes in early 2023.
