A NEW bakery chain is set to open in Festival Place, in a unit next to the existing Greggs.
Wenzel’s, which has more than 90 stores across the country including in Reading and Windsor, will open a branch in Festival Place, offering freshly baked goods including sausage rolls, bread, pastries, cakes and doughnuts.
The Basingstoke branch will be the fast-growing company’s first in Hampshire and is set to open in the new year in an empty unit between Flying Tiger and Greggs bakery.

The chain also offers customised cakes, sweet and savoury platters for entertaining and treat boxes featuring six ulta-chocolatey glazed ‘donuts’ topped with chunks of treats including Snickers, Chocolate Orange, Kinder Bueno, Galaxy and Toblerone.
Born and ‘bread’ in London, Wenzel’s started as one family’s sweet dream and has risen to become a community favourite, with more than 90 stores nationwide.
The founders vow to bring their love for baking into every bite and hope all their customers will leave with a smile – and a full belly.
