CARE home residents got into the Christmas spirit with a very special visit from Santa himself.
Barchester’s Ashcombe House care home, in Worting road, received a visit from Father Christmas who took time out of his busy schedule to visit every resident with gifts.
Residents enjoyed a feast of festive foods prepared by the home’s chef Tracey Dyer before a raffle draw.
The afternoon continued with live musical entertainment with Stephen Gray.

General manager Louise Lambert said: “Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year and our fantastic residents love to get festive so we’ve pulled out all the stops. It is so lovely to see them all getting into the Christmas spirit, it’s definitely my favourite time of year.”
Resident Peggy Gary added: “It has been a lovely day. It was wonderful to see everyone go to so much effort to get into the Christmas spirit. I really enjoyed Sitting on Santa’s knee."
