AS we prepare to see in the New Year you may be wondering what pharmacies are open in Basingstoke across the weekend, the Gazette has you covered.
Various pharmacies will still be open on New Year’s Day and on Monday, January 2 in the borough.
As many people are suffering from colds and coughs, we have put together a full list of pharmacies that will remain open.

Pharmacies that will be open across the New Year:
- Boots Pharmacy in the Chineham District Centre will be open on New Year’s Day (Sunday, January 1) from 10am to 4pm and on Monday, January, 2 from 10am to 4pm
- Boots Pharmacy 15 in Old Basing Mall will be open on New Year’s Day (Sunday, January 1) from 11am to 4pm and Monday, January 2 from 10am to 4pm
- Cohens Chemist, on 4 Dickson House will be open on New Year’s Day (Sunday, January 1) from 10am to 6pm
- Lloyds Pharmacy (in Sainsbury) on 3 Wallop Drive will be open on New Year’s Day (Sunday, January 1) from 10am to 4pm and on Monday, January 2 from 10am to 4pm
- Lloyds Pharmacy (in Sainsbury) on Mulfords Hill in Tadley will be open on New Year’s Day (Sunday, January 1) from 10am to 4pm and on Monday, January 2 from 10am to 4pm
- Tesco Pharmacy in District Shopping Centre will be open on New Year’s Day (Sunday, January 1) from 10am to 4pm

Dr Tim Cooper, a GP and the deputy chief medical officer for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System, said: “December has been an extremely challenging time for the NHS, not helped by flu taking a toll in many homes and workplaces.
“Pharmacies are a great High Street resource, offering expert advice about over-the-counter medicines to treat common health conditions, as well as information on medication and a range of other services.”
