A BEST-SELLING wildlife author and photographer is preparing to publish his next book.
Over the last decade, wildlife author Paul Sterry has nurtured a small island of diversity in the half-acre garden that surrounds his home in Basingstoke.
By giving nature a free hand and fostering habitats, Paul has enabled a range of native plants and animals to call his garden home.
In this narrative story, to be published on April 11, 2023, Paul tells the story of his gardening experiences and offers advice to readers.

He describes how any gardener can unlock the wildlife potential of their garden, no matter its size, and watch it become home to a range of species including flies, wildflowers, grasshoppers, amphibians, and fungi.
The book will also be packed full of photographs from Paul’s garden and aims to prove that during a time of ecological crisis and climate change, with a little nurture, nature will thrive.
The book encourages and empowers readers to create their own biological inheritance for posterity – and shows them how they can do it.
