FAMOUS actors from the world of comic books will head to Basingstoke for a special convention for enthusiasts.
Headlining the Basingstoke Comic Con in May is the star of Netflix’s The Sandman, Tom Sturridge, who will be at The Hampshire Court Hotel for the event.
The convention will be held at the Chineham hotel over three days from Friday, May 19 to Sunday, May 21.

It focuses on comic books and comic book culture, with guests including those from popular television shows adapted from comic books such as The Umbrella Academy, The Sandman, Stargate SG-1 and Supernatural.
Sturridge, who has appeared in both TV and film roles, plays the central character Dream in The Sandman, which was adapted from the original Neil Gaiman comics.
The event will include question and answer sessions, photo ops, guest autographs, meet and greet sessions and ‘cosplay’, giving visitors the chance to dress up as their favourite comic book characters.
