It is located on the same site as The Barn Retreat, which was opened in 2022 by sound healing practitioner Holly Findlay, who had a dream to create a unique and safe space to “encourage natural wellness”.
The business supports Holly’s love for nature and uses sustainable brands and eco-friendly, vegan products.
It offers hand-crafted, bespoke treatments provided by a team of experts with a wealth of knowledge in the health and beauty industry.
Customers can expect to enjoy a “pause from everyday life. Somewhere you can be in the present moment and focus on you”.
Holly said she was “so excited” to launch The Bull Pen and is offering free mini complimentary sessions for the official launch on Saturday, January 21.
The 28-year-old from Sherfield-on-Loddon began Wisteria Beautique from her home four years ago and said the pandemic gave her the boost she needed to follow her dream of opening in a rural location.

She said: “Covid hit and I had to stop for nine months. I survived by doing any job and it gave me more of a boost because when we reopened people were suffering with mental health and anxiety about going out and everyone was suffering more. I thought, ‘maybe now it’s needed more’.”
Holly and her husband Tom searched for a rural location for the business and discovered The Barn.
Holly said: “It felt like you were escaping from everyday life. We came across the farm and it is beautiful. We were put on a waiting list and it became available at the beginning of last year. We had to renovate it and build treatment rooms where we offer high-end spa days and it has grown from there.
“It’s such a lovely place it’s so beautiful and you feel so relaxed so it grew naturally. For us and the girls who work for me, we feel empathetic and we want to help people feel amazing. Being on a farm supports our ethos.”
Holly said the Bull Pen will offer wellness classes including yoga, sound healing and meditation.
She is also supporting businesses to run wellness days for their employees.
She added: “It’s a place for everybody and somewhere you can come no matter how you feel. You might feel amazing and want to treat yourself. Everyone is welcome. I feel very lucky because it’s a lovely job.”
