Inspectors visited Medirest at the clinic and looked at three different areas of food hygiene.
They found that the management of food safety was ‘generally satisfactory – improvement necessary’; the cleanliness and condition of the building was ‘good’; and hygienic food handling was ‘generally satisfactory’.

The private hospital joined forces with Circle Health Group in January 2020 when it benefited from a major £250m national investment programme in facilities, technology and people.
A spokesperson for The Hampshire Clinic said: “A routine inspection was carried out by the EHO [environmental health officer] before Christmas and a minor issue relating to the replacement of a ceiling tile was identified.
“The team at the hospital rectified the issue immediately and management are working closely with the EHO to arrange for a follow-up inspection to take place.”
