TRAFFIC on a major Hampshire road has been severly disrupted following a multi-vehicle crash and a vehicle fire in a lorry this morning.
A lane of the A34 remains shut near Sutton Scotney Services north of Winchester.
THE ROMANSE travel information service is warning of delays of 20 minutes.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.

Hampshire police Facebook said: "A34 Southbound just after Sutton Scotney Services Closed. We’re currently dealing with an incident on the A303 (s) just after Sutton Scotney Services. Please avoid the area if you can.
"If you’re currently stuck in traffic, please be patient. We’ll get things moving again as soon as we possibly can. Thank you."
The road has now been reopened after the carriageway was inspected for signs of damage because of the lorry fire
The scene is now clear and all lanes have re-opened on the #A34 southbound in #Hampshire between the #A303 (#Bullington) and the #A272 (near #Winchester) following a lorry fire overnight.
