A Hampshire hotel has been named the most popular in the UK to go to for a winter/Valentine's Day getaway according to the number of TikTok views it has accumulated.
The radiator manufacturer Stelrad found that Chewton Glen in New Milton to be the most popular, having received 200 million views on TikTok.
Stelrad had sought to find out what the most popular winter hotel was as Google searches for a ‘weekend getaway’ climbed by 159% in the UK in the last month.
Firstly, they conducted an analysis referring to The Guardian, Hello Magazine, CN Traveller and Red Online to collate a unique seed list of 65 known hotels for a winter getaway.
To determine how popular a hotel is, they utilised TikTok views, having searched for the name of the location only.
Speaking about Chewton Glen, Stelrad said: "Chewton Glen is the most popular wintry hotel in the UK with a staggering 200,000,000 TikTok views.
"Situated on the edge of the New Forest, yet close enough to walk to the beach, this hotel has it all for those looking for a romantic wintry getaway, especially with the most romantic day of the year approaching.
"With perfect food, extensive leisure facilities, a spa and grounds, you’ll never want to leave."
Using the TikTok metric Chewton Glen was far above its competition, with Port Lympne in second place having 16.1m views in comparison to its 20m.

Chewton Glen is a hotel and spa that has also been well-received on Tripadvisor, having earnt a score of 4.5/5 from 2,961 reviews.
Meanwhile, on Chewton Glen's own website, it says: "We are a quintessentially luxury, 5-star Relais & Châteaux hotel and spa on the edge of the enchanting New Forest. There are many magnificent hotels, but only a few of them can call themselves a true English Original..."
The 18th-Century country house hotel is described as an "idyllic escape" and the "perfect combination of country and coast".
Additionally, it offers many "award-winning" spa and wellness experiences which aim to "melt away" the stresses of those who use them.
Alongside that its dining options are also well-regarded, and its menus use many ingredients that come from the hotel's very own kitchen garden.
