THREE slimming world consultants from Basingstoke have collected bags of donations for the foodbank from their members' unwanted Christmas food.
Jill Mckay, Tope Shonekan and Tessa Connolly donated the trolly load of food items to the foodbank in the Tesco Chineham store.
Jill said: "The idea came from people who wanted to eat all their leftover Christmas food and I thought 'what could I do with it?'
"I know if I just took it off them, I would probably eat them all myself so I thought it would be better to give them to someone else who is in need.
"We are always so overwhelmed with the generosity of our members. We never tell them they can't eat their Christmas food, as nothing is off limits at Slimming World, but we offered to take the temptation away if there were leftover bits they'd rather get out of the house."

The ladies run groups every Monday and Wednesday at 5.30pm and 7pm and Friday mornings 9.30am at the Ambrose Allen Centre in Tadle and every Thursday 9.30am 11am to 5.30pm to 7pm at Burghfield Methodist Church.
