A CAST of 66 children and young adults will be bursting onto a stage in Basingstoke to sing, dance and deliver comedy sketches in this year's Basingstoke Gang Show.
The award-winning show put on by Guide and Scout associations was presented The Best Compilation Show in South of England by NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) and is recognised as the longest-running family variety show in the town, showcasing an extremely talented cast.
The 11 performances at The Haymarket Theatre, many over half-term week, will entertain audiences with 19 different numbers.
The cast of 66 performers aged eight to 20-years-old, all from local Cubs, Guides, Scouts, and Explorers as well as some young leaders, are preparing to wow audiences with amazing vocals showcased in a variety of songs from country to modern.
The team has been supported by 100 adult volunteers.
Chairman Steve Edney said: "Basingstoke Gang Show brings together Scouts and Guides across Basingstoke as one gang, to create 11 performances at The Haymarket Theatre just before and during February half-term.

"Families and friends will experience 19 numbers in one show; singing, incredible dance shows.
"From Lego characters to beautiful vocal performances. With songs from the 1940s all the way to 2023. All comedy sketches have been written by one of our volunteers, taking classic comedy and adding a modern twist. Just what we all need after a challenging January."
Niamh Vaughan, cast and assistant producer, added: “I’ve been involved in the last five Basingstoke Gang Shows now over the last 11 years. We have such a strong cast this year. It is an amazing show.”
Basingstoke Gang Show returns to The Haymarket for its 28th variety show From Thursday, February 9 to 18.
