A BASINGSTOKE teenager won the Newbury U21 cup in snooker.
Mason Wilson, 18, from Fletcher Close played really well to win the tournament despite having his cue tip changed the night before the event.
Mason said: “ I couldn’t quite believe it as I was a bit worried. I just had a new tip put on but made some decent breaks and safety to win.”

He also said it was an emotional win only just losing his great nan Phylis Millar, who was a great supporter of his snooker career.
"This win is dedicated to my great nan who always supported me through my snooker and never doubted me one bit.”
In October last year, he raised thousands of pounds for a charity by playing non-stop snooker for 12 hours.
He raised £2,426 for Marie Curie, which provides care and support to people living with a terminal illness and those close to them.
