SEVERAL street signs in Basingstoke have been vandalised with the same symbol.
Road signs from Bishop Challoner to Thornycroft Roundabout have been sprayed in colours like orange and blue, all with a similar marking.
The graffiti is mainly on St Michaels Road and along the B3400 towards Thornycroft Roundabout.

Residents reported the issue to the Gazette.
The symbol has been sprayed on a sign outside the front of Bishop Challoner School, and can then be seen consistently on most of the signs from there to the roundabout by Wickes.
Some of the signs nearer the roundabout also have writing on them.

More street signs between Thornycroft Roundabout and Alencon Link Roundabout have also been sprayed, but with a different symbol to that around Bishop Challoner school.
The Gazette approached Hampshire County Council about the incident.
A council spokesperson said: "Hampshire County Council is aware of some graffiti on highway signs in Basingstoke. Our Highways team always aims to deal with graffiti on highway signs in a timely manner.
"Non-offensive graffiti that does not pose a highway safety issue is a lesser priority for us but will still be dealt with as resources allow. Instances of graffiti on highway infrastructure can be reported via our website and the inclusion of photographs can help us assess the priority."
