DOCTOR WHO sensation David Tennant will be coming to Basingstoke in May.
It's not every day you can say there is a Time Lord in town, but soon residents of Basingstoke will be able to do exactly that, as the award-winning actor is set to headline the town's first-ever comic book convention.
The event will take place from May 19-21, at the Hampshire Court Hotel in Chineham, with the actor due to appear on the last day.

The actor, who is also known for his roles in Harry Potter, Good Omens and more recently ITV's adaptation of the events surrounding Alexander Litvinenko's poisoning, became a household name in 2005 when he became the 10th actor to take the reins as the main character in the BBC hit series: Doctor Who.
Over 10 years since first hanging up his sonic screwdriver, Tennant will again don his long coat and stripy suit, playing the 14th Doctor in the upcoming 60th anniversary of the series.
The event will include question and answer sessions, photo ops, guest autographs, meet and greet sessions and ‘cosplay’, giving visitors the chance to dress up as their favourite comic book characters.
Tickets are available to purchase on the convention's website.
The other headliner announced so far is Tom Sturridge, who plays Dream in The Sandman, which was adapted from the original Neil Gaiman comics.
