A HAMPSHIRE hotel and spa has unveiled its new look following the £2m refurbishment of the venue and its 16th-century manor house.
Norton Park Hotel, Spa & Manor House, part of The QHotels Collection, has had a modern makeover.
Based in Sutton Scotney, the hotel, spa and manor house are set among 54 acres of Hampshire countryside.
Improvements were made across the 152-bedroom hotel and 13-bedroom manor house. Designs were overseen by independent, architectural design practice, ADS Design, to refresh and modernise the guest rooms and communal areas including an orangery, lounge and walled gardens in the main hotel.
Bedrooms have been updated using a blend of neutral textiles and in-keeping furniture, as well as a free-standing bath in one of the guest suites.
The 17th-century Hampshire Tythe Barn has been brought into the 21st century with new lighting, flooring and bathrooms. A state-of-the-art commercial kitchen has also been fitted to accommodate catering for weddings and corporate events.
The hotel’s main events space in the Norton Suite is being modernised with updated flooring and décor as well as improved access to the private bar, which will be complete in March.
Meanwhile, the 16th-century manor house, which is available for exclusive use, was restored by Fusion by Design, interior designers to the leisure and hospitality industry, to capture a classic country aesthetic.
The beautifully converted communal areas include an orangery, lounge and walled garden. Bedrooms have been updated using a blend of neutral textiles and in keeping furniture, as well as a luxurious free-standing bath in one of the guest suites. Guests also have full access to the main hotel facilities including health club, bar, restaurant, grounds, and guest services.
General manager Paul Russell said: “Norton Park Hotel, Spa and Manor House is in an incredible location and its recent makeover is not only a delight to behold, but it will also ensure that we continue to offer guests the best possible experience during their stay.
“Updates to the Manor House, Tythe Barn and Norton Suite have also helped to cement us as one of the best wedding and events venues in the region and we look forward to welcoming both returning and new guests alike.”
The rural hotel offers two large function rooms and a range of smaller, modern syndicate rooms, for events of up to 300 guests. While the Manor House is equipped for away days, board meetings and wellness retreats.
The spa at Norton Park is partnered with skincare brand ELEMIS, with expert therapists on site to carry out the treatments, in addition to the sauna, steam room and indoor heated pool.
